Paul Ricard: Stimulating 1st qualification for Cedars team

21-07-2012

In today's qualifications, Cedars team encountered some car problems that affected all 3 pilots and slowed them down from getting closer to pole positions.

Noel Jammal finished in 9th position, with his fastest lap 2'05. 019, being 0,00.002 away from the 8th as 6 drivers were in the 0.2 seconds frame. Tight timings that definitely make the race an exiting one to watch!

After finishing in 1st position in yesterday's free practice 3, Moises had high chances to finish the qualifications in pole position . Unfortunately and because of a flat tire, he had to pit in to change a tire that made him lose a lot of time. He finished fifth in class C (13th in general), making a 2'05. 982 in his fastest lap, being less than one second away from 1st position in class C, and having al 4 pilots within less than a 0.600 sec away.

Alex started on a good pace in the first qualifications, bouncing between 3rd and 4th position in class C. Until the rear wishbone of his car broke, obliging him to go in and fix it. By the time the car was fixed, only 2 laps were left till the end of qualifications, not enough for Alex to warm up his tires and do better timings.

He finished 10th in class C (19th in general) doing a 2'07. 218  as his fastest lap.
